The Sixteen Lenses necklace holds sixteen hand engraved magnifying lenses. Each depicting the earliest moments of embryo development.
It took my parents ten years to conceive and through these years and multiple rounds of IVF/ ICSI they created sixteen embryos.
Four of those embryos became pregnancys and three made it to full term.
The Sixteen lenses represent those sixteen embryos especially my siblings who were only ever seen through a microscope.

The Baby Franks bracelet depicts the 16 embryos my parents created through years of fertility treatments.
Cultured pearls represent each pregnancy with corresponding dates inside the bracelet.
The black pearl represents the heartbreaking ectopic pregnancy that did not make it to full term.
The singular white pearl represents me and the connected white pearls represent my little brother and sister who are twins due to the ICSI embryo transfer process.
‘Baby Franks’ was the label on all of our ultrasound scans.
